Q&A
Can Dental Implant Treatment Be Performed on Every Patient?
Dental implants are commonly used to replace missing teeth. However, suitability for implant treatment depends on factors such as jawbone structure, gum health, general health and the condition of the treatment area.

Edit the answer here.Dental implant treatment can be performed on many patients with missing teeth, but not everyone is automatically considered a suitable candidate. Before treatment, the dentist evaluates not only the area of the missing tooth but also the jawbone, gums, oral hygiene and the patient's general health.
One of the first considerations is whether there is sufficient bone height, width and suitable bone structure in the area where the implant will be placed. In addition to a clinical examination, panoramic X-rays and, when necessary, 3D dental tomography (CBCT) may be used. Three-dimensional imaging helps evaluate the bone structure as well as important anatomical structures such as the sinuses and nerve canals.
Insufficient bone does not necessarily mean that implant treatment is impossible. In suitable patients, procedures such as bone grafting, sinus lifting or other surgical techniques may be used to create appropriate conditions for implant placement. Active gum disease and oral infections should generally be brought under control before implant surgery.
Systemic conditions such as diabetes, certain medications, smoking and the patient's overall health are also considered when planning treatment. For this reason, implant treatment should always be planned individually.
At Dentsmile Oral and Dental Health Clinic, dental implant treatment in Üsküdar is planned not only with the aim of placing an implant into the jawbone, but also of creating a healthy, functional and maintainable implant-supported tooth for long-term use. A patient's suitability for implant treatment can be determined after a clinical examination and the necessary diagnostic imaging.
