Prof. Dr. Tahsin Yıldırım

Endodontics

Experience, approach, and areas of expertise.

He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry. Following his graduation, he continued his education at Marmara University, where he pursued a PhD in Endodontics, and completed the PhD Program in Endodontics in 2003. After completing his doctoral studies, he continued his clinical practice in the field of Endodontics in the private sector until 2006.

In 2006, he joined Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Dentistry as an academic. Throughout his academic career at the university, he was involved in education, scientific research, and clinical practice. He continued his academic studies and attained the title of Professor.

As part of his academic responsibilities, he participated in undergraduate and postgraduate education and contributed to the professional and academic training of PhD students and dentists. Among the dentists he trained are academics who continued their careers as faculty members at universities, as well as specialist dentists working in private practice.

His scientific work includes numerous research articles, 48 of which have been published in international scientific journals. He also participated in research projects approved by the university and TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye), contributing to scientific research and academic studies in the field of Endodontics.

In addition to his academic responsibilities at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Dentistry, he also held administrative duties and served as Vice Dean for 4.5 years. During this period, he was involved in the faculty’s educational, academic, and administrative processes.

After attaining the title of Professor, he subsequently left his university position and returned to private practice. His clinical work primarily focuses on Endodontics and root canal treatments.

His professional career encompasses his dental education at Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry, his PhD in Endodontics at Marmara University, his academic and administrative positions at Karadeniz Technical University, and his clinical practice in the private sector.

Drawing on his extensive professional and academic experience, he currently works as an Endodontist (Root Canal Treatment Specialist) at Dentsmile Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic, where he is involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of endodontic conditions, as well as the evaluation and treatment of cases requiring root canal therapy.
